Since the Madison County Farmer’s Market is a non-profit organization, we utilize the funds to pay upfront costs of running the market, i.e. promotions, advertising, insurance costs and other fun things like live music and kid-friendly events. Portion of the vendor proceeds will go to local food banks and/or charities outside of funds needed to maintain an account and pay needed market expenses.
-
All positions with the Farmer’s Market are volunteer based. No pay is received at this time. The current market managers are Clinton & Kelli Eshelman of Winterset, Iowa as of January 1st, 2025.

As of 2025, the Madison County Farmer’s Market is an unincorporated non-profit association registered with the state as of January 1st, 2025. We have not met the federal monetary threshold requiring a 501©(3) at this time; although in the next year or two we see the market expanding and growing where it would be important step for the market to become a 501©(3) corp. It also has many more tax benefits for donations to the community.
-
Starting in 2025, the Madison County Farmer’s Market plans to donate funds at the end of the season to the local Winterset school lunch program and/or other local Madison County charities that are in need, such as C.R.I.S.P. and/or local food banks.

We are always seeking new vendors. We are seeking homemade, handmade, homegrown, crafty, artsy, pottery & vintage vendors. If you are a local Madison County business or non-profit/tax-exempt we’d love to have you setup.
We aren’t looking for any junk or flea market type vendors. We do not allow any MLM or businesses like tupperware or scentsy, etc. We do vet all vendor forms upon paid application. If denied you will be provided a full refund.
